Jayme Cheney returns home to BOSS Racing having already developed a relationship with new rider Ryan Springer over the past two seasons at Carlson Motorsports.

With the recent addition of Elias Ishoel, BOSS Racing will field a two-man team in the premier class, including Ryan Springer, to compliment the efforts of 2017 Pro Lite Champion Aki Pihlaja, who will be back to defend his Lites title. The team is also happy to welcome back veteran crew chief Jayme Cheney. Cheney was with the team through the 2015 season when it was based out of Fargo, North Dakota.

Ryan Springer

Springer, a two year veteran of the elite Pro Open class had a breakout year in 2017 scoring his first podium finish and several top five finishes throughout the season.

“I’m very excited to be joining the Jimmy John’s team,” said Springer.  We have some really great things coming and I’m expecting to have great results this year. I’ve worked with Jayme for a while now and we have a great relationship, he knows my strengths and weaknesses and how to address them. Switching to a new team, a new brand with Ski-Doo and a new atmosphere will be good. It’s gonna be different but I have no worries as team owner Garry Querel is a great guy who will do what it takes to give us the opportunity to win!”

Ryan will be on hand this Saturday at the Hay Days Grass Drags in North Branch, Minnesota signing autographs at the Ski-Doo team introduction. Ishoel and Pihlaja will be joining the team at our Princeton, Minnesota race shop in early November in preparation for the upcoming season.
