The 286 Sno Series kicked off the new year with a bang. Just days prior to rounds 3 & 4, the series held a racer development clinic hosted by KC Motorsports at their practice facility in Finley, North Dakota. KC Pro Lite team riders Evan Christian and Evan Daudt were on hand to instruct and assist a large crop of amateur riders who were then able to take their new skills to the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, for their second weekend of competition this season.

The KC practice track is unique in that it is located on the high school football field right in the heart of Finley, North Dakota.

With a large number of entries on hand, the 286ers raced into the new year under the lights on December 31. Several racers had clean sweeps in their respective classes with Tripp Knudson (8-10 Jr.), Tavin Knudson (Jr. B) and and Owen Eidsness (Stock 120 and Improved Stock) keeping their season-long undefeated streaks alive.

Colin Taggart scored a win in the Junior 14-17 division on Saturday.
Tyson Sundby of Verndale, Minnesota leads Koy Maruska under the lights in Fargo.
Aspen Lomsdal was a winner in the Girls class on Friday.
Another big class of 200 entries made for exciting racing during the second weekend of 286 competition.
