A number of injuries sustained at the season opener in Fargo, North Dakota will keep key riders on the sidelines for the next several rounds. These injuries will have a profound impact on the Pro class, which was already at an all-time low for entries, as both Jacob Yurk and Oscar Norum are likely out for the entire season.

Yurk, as was reported earlier, tore his patellar tendon requiring surgery that will prevent him from returning this year. Norum, fractured his tibia plateau which is the head of the primary shin bone that forms the lower joint of the knee where it meets the femur. Oskar is currently home in Sweden recovering, however, this has become frequent injury in snocross that almost always requires a full season to heal.

In the Pro Lite ranks, Hemmer Motorsports title contender Nick Lorenz broke his hand on Saturday and has recently undergone surgery to make the necessary repairs. With the lengthy holiday break in the schedule, Lorenz could be back as soon as Deadwood or New York.
