Fox Lake, IL (November 13, 2020) – Illinois-based Petersen Racing is pleased to announce its return for the 2020-2021 snocross season. The team will be led by Brian Petersen, who will compete in both the national sport and regional pro lite classes. After earning a surprise win at the season opener in 2019, he was one of the most consistent finishers in the sport class, ultimately earning a 6th place overall finish when the season came to a close in March. He’ll be looking to get back on the podium when the national series kicks off in January.

He will be joined by head mechanic, Jared Burba. A former motocross and snocross racer, Burba is a valuable asset to the team and is already hard at work getting the sleds prepared for the season that is just around the corner.

In addition to the riders and mechanics, Petersen Racing is excited to partner with new industry sponsors for 2021. The World Famous West Coast Customs will be joining the team as title sponsor. Located in Los Angeles, California, the custom car shop is known for appearing in TV shows like Pimp My Ride and Inside West Coast Customs. The team will be further supported by the Wisconsin-based Lakeland Powersports and IncredibleBank, along with Ski-Doo, Goodwin Performance, and DooTalk.

Petersen Racing is set to make its 2020-2021 debut at round 1 of the GNSS series in Ironwood, MI on December 5. They will then spend the following weeks preparing for the Amsoil Championship Snocross series that starts up on January 8 at ERX Motor Park in Elk River, MN.
