From Cor PowerSports –

As we all prepare for the upcoming annual season opener of the 21/22 Cor PowerSports pro national xc race series at the Gerald Dyrdahl Memorial Pine Lake 200 things have been delayed all across the industry; parts, sleds, gear, and now we can add ice to that list of things delayed.

We have been working closely with Five Star Promotion group over the past couple weeks watching weather and ice conditions at Pine Lake, this past week we have seen things improve in both of those departments. Team Arctic racer Gunner Arlaud went out to Pine Lake yesterday to do some test holes for us and the report is 4-6 inches of ice in multiple areas. With that information we had a meeting last night with the Dyrdahl family to discuss options, do we stick with the original December 11-12 date as planned and pray that Mother Nature brings us the cold weather needed to make ice in the next two weeks or do we push the event back to a date we are confident that will have the conditions needed per our event permits to run the event??

Going off the current ice report, long range forecasts, and talking within the group of our best options the decision has been made to move the Pine Lake 200 back one week to December 18-19, 2021. With that extra week we will have more cold weather moving in to allow the ice conditions to continue improving.

We do ask that ANY racer that is at Pine Lake testing in the next few weeks to refrain from testing in the areas of the pits and race course.

It is hard to believe that it has been 261 days from our season final checkered flag last March at the Naytahwaush Snodeo 200 but it will be a very quick 25 days from today until the first green flag of the 21/22 race season flies at the Gerald Dyrdahl Memorial Pine Lake 200!!

Registration is currently open on our website online registration closes at 6pm December 15 so get signed up today and DO not delay!!
