Recent announcements from Hentges Racing and Green Mountain Racing signaled welcome news for the national snocross tour as Swedish racers John Malmstorm and Gustav Sahlsten have been brought to the U.S. to bolster an injury-riddled Pro class.
Malmstrom will be filling in for Oskar Norum who injured his knee at the season opener in Fargo. While relatively unknown to North American race fans, Malmstrom was a gold medal winner in the Pro Stock class in Swenden in 2022.
Sahlsten will be joining the Green Mountain squad as an addition, teaming with veteran Pro racer Aki Pihlaja. Sahlsten is 20 years old and has been racing for nine years. He has multiple class championships in Sweden and Finland, with a Pro win in the Finnish Stadiumcross series in 2022.
