Greensboro, GA (June 9, 2019) – GasGas North America Off-road’s Thorn Devlin and Ron Commo III turned in impressive performances this weekend at the Cherokee National Enduro in Greensboro, Georgia.

Heavy rains left the area saturated and slippery, but the race went off without a hitch, as Devlin finished a solid fifth in the Pro1 class on his 2019 XC 300, while Commo was ninth overall and third in the Pro2 class on his 2019 XC 250.

Despite being a bit under the weather, GasGas North America’s Thorn Devlin got off to a fast start and was sitting in third overall after two tests. However, a tumble in the final test dropped the Pennsylvania rider to fifth in the final Pro standings.

Thorn Devlin: After the second test I came in and saw I was in third overall and I held that until test five. But going into test six, I came down over the hill right off the start and there was a bridge and I wiped out. I bent the shifter completely around the frame, so I couldn’t shift. I went to put my foot on the peg and when I hit a bump it would click it into false neutral. So, I literally rode that whole section not being able to shift or with the left foot on the peg. We ended fifth on the day and I had some pretty good times that I’m excited about.

• Former top national Trials Pro Ron Commo III battled for the lead in the Pro2 class for most of the day and eventually settled into third in class and ninth overall, missing eighth overall by just 10 seconds.

Ron Commo III: I tried to just ride as smooth as I could and not make any mistakes that I have been making. I felt like I was rails at first but then the rain started coming down and it kind of cooled me off a little. I’m excited with my performance and I’m ready to go to the next round.

The GasGas North America Off-road Team returns to action on June 15-16 in Bristol, Virginia for round five of the Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series.
