Shakopee, MN (2/8/21) – Hentges Pro Racers, Norum and Kamm, continue to run at the front of the National Snocross points standing after leaving Fargo in Second and Fourth respectively. Norum capped off Saturday’s Pro final with a strong third place podium.

Unlike Deadwood’s weather and track size a week earlier, everything was polar opposite in Fargo. Snocross racers would battle on a large track with plenty of big air jumps and passing opportunities. The weather? Yeah, that was incredibly cold as most would expect in February at the Red River Valley Speedway.

Heading into the Saturday night final, Norum qualified 3-3 in his heats and his Polaris pulled strong to the front of the pack in the frigid final. During the course of the race, Norum held fourth place but kept his sights and pressure on third place, eventually passing for the position and crossing the finish line in third.

On the podium, Norum remarked about his fourth visit to the top steps this season, “It was tough. They were fast in front of me. I pushed hard in the beginning, but I couldn’t pass them, so I settled in to fourth and found better lines closing the gap at the end. It was so cold out there, and the whole weekend was about staying warm. It was really tough.”

Hentges Racing team owner, Nate Hentges said, “We had another great weekend and faced a different form of demanding track, and whole new competitor this season – the frigid cold and icy roosts that came with it in Fargo. Despite the ever-changing conditions, weather temps and elevations this season, that 600 EFI engine from Polaris continues to perform.”

Norum and Kamm continue to hold their second and fourth standings in National Points while Kamm is in a nearly dead-even point race to move into third. Both championship contenders get a week of rest from competition as Hentges Racing heads to the Sioux Falls National next in South Dakota on February 19-20, 2021.
