Shakopee, MN (1/17/22) – Hentges Racing pro riders, #40 Oskar Norum and #53 Kody Kamm, both left rounds 3 & 4 in Dubuque, Iowa with podium success both days after piloting the team’s Polaris/Monster Energy 600R race sleds to the front of the ultra-competitive Pro class.

During Friday’s Pro final, Norum came out of the gates swinging for the Hentges team with an impressive start and a fast, determined pace, securing the lead early which he held on to until the mid-way point. With track conditions changing rapidly, Norum hit a hard-ridge kicker sending him off his snowmobile, but regained position on the track in fifth after a quick recovery. The leaders were still in sight and Norum charged hard to the end working his way to a third place podium.

Behind Norum, it was teammate Kody Kamm who mounted an impressive passing clinic on his Polaris, working his way from a 12th place start all the way to 5th by the time the checkers flew.

Hentges Racing team owner, Nate Hentges said, “Friday was quite the race for our team. We are quickly building back our winning momentum as our equipment and riders keep getting stronger. I’m extremely happy with where we are right now.”

On Saturday, the course was changed to an oval layout, which increased speeds and kept the 15-rider field close and competitive, finding many shuffling positions until the checkers. It was Norum again placing himself at the front of the field early-on with Kamm closely behind. The Hentges Racing duo challenged their way into the top five positions until the bitter end when things got really exciting on the last lap – Kamm secured the third place podium after capitalizing on a mishap by Norum who was challenging for first place.

Hentges said, “Saturday’s Pro final was a nail biter for us, but we are happy with our success. Hentges Racing Polaris’ ran up front and were on the podium back-to-back. We’ll continue to work on our consistency over the short break, and come out even stronger at Deadwood at the end of the month.”

Kody Kamm improved his National Points standing to 2nd, just six points shy of 1st, and Oskar Norum moved up three spots to 6th after a solid weekend performance. Next up for Hentges Racing is the South Dakota Snocross National in Deadwood on January 28-29, 2022.
