Dubuque, Iowa has been a welcoming stop on the national snocross tour since being added to the schedule in 2017. This has been especially true for the Anderson Racing team, who have found their way to the podium in the riverside community on several occasions.

Korbyn Anderson kept that streak alive on Friday night coming home second in the Pro Lite final after a success day of qualifying with second and first place finishes on his MBRP Powersports/FLY Racing/Ski-Doo. Korbyn got off to a great jump at the start of the race, with brother Camryn in close pursuit. As the laps wore down, Korbyn distanced himself from the riders behind him to easily clock in with his best result of the season.

Camryn Anderson, who also qualified strong throughout the day, finished the final in fifth on his Dee’s Marine/XPS/Ski-Doo, putting two team sleds in the top five.

Saturday brought clearing skies and warmer temps that provided a new look and feel to the event, as well as a complete reversal of luck for the team. Camryn was unable to transfer out of the last chance qualifier, while Korbyn jumped out to another solid start in the Pro Lite final, only to be turned over after contact in the first turn.

While Korbyn was physically okay, the kill-switch on his sled was damaged to the point that it could not be refired.

Collin Anderson qualified 2-4 on Saturday to move into the Sport class final where he finished 13th.

UP NEXT…After back-to-back weekends, the team will have a won week break before resuming action in Historic Deadwood, South Dakota on January 28-29.
