2016 District 23 cross-country Champion Nick Swenson raced to the overall win at the Huntersville enduro along the banks of the Crow Wing river in NorthCentral Minnesota. Perfect trail conditions greeted over 180 riders at key time on Sunday morning as steady rain in the days prior to the race turned the normally dry and dusty sand flats into an endless ribbon of hero dirt and the traditional whoops that Huntersville is known for.

Swenson, a regional team rider for Gas Gas, had been focusing on the national enduro series’ new Pro 2 class, but after a rough start to the season has opted to pick and choose events throughout the upper Midwest, including the Border Battle XC series and some hard enduros.

Up next for the D23 off-road crew in round three of the Hare Scramble series at Meadow Valley MX in Millville, Minnesota on June 17.
