The rumor mill has been running wild in the snocross world with a number of rider and team changes in the air. Some of which will become official over the next few weeks. The first big news coming a while back was word that the Scheuring Speed Sports team would not be re-signing veteran Pro rider Lincoln Lemieux. The AMSOIL team will be hitching their wagon to second year Pro Hunter Patenaude in 2022 and while they had been negotiating with a second premier class racer, have since opted to work with a soon to be announced development rider in the Pro Lite class.

We reached out to Lemieux on his plans and while he did not immediately respond, there could potentially be open seats at several other Ski-Doo “factory” teams depending on if and how the following pieces fall into place.

It is no secret that Polaris has been aggressively pursuing three-time and defending Pro Champion Elias Ishoel. In a sport with a short career span money certainly talks, but changing brands would be a huge risk for Ishoel who’s BOSS Racing team has continually delivered a bullet-proof winning machine in his quest to become only the second rider ever to win four Pro titles in a row. Tucker Hibbert first accomplished this feat in 2013-16.

Several sources have confirmed that Nick Lorenz is out at Judnick Motorsports and will be relocated to the Hemmer Motorsports squad this season. Maybe even more of a surprise is that Lorenz is slated to stay in the Lites class for yet another season.

The much talked about new All Finish Concrete team based out of West Fargo, North Dakota is well on its way to becoming a reality. We spoke to team owner Chad Ohnstad and he confirmed that two race winning Pro class riders have been signed, along with a crew chief and several other support staff, but a full announcement of names, sponsors and brand affiliation is still a week or two away.

Other riders who could potentially be joining the growing Pro ranks are Korbyn Anderson, Travis Kern and Evan Daudt, all pending manufacturer budgets after the A-list riders are signed.

As we were posting this, team owner Jeff Cottew let us know that Kern is 100% going Pro and while he does not have a deal in place, the Cottew Motorsports team definitely wants him back.
