Princeton, MN (August 7, 2021) – Veteran Pro Lite snocross racer Travis Kern will be moving up to field a second Pro class entry for Cottew Motorsports on the 2022 AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour.

Kern has been a top competitor on the national scene for several years, including runner-up finishes in the Sport class in 2014 and in Pro Lite class last season. Although he battled injuries through the middle portion of his career, Travis had his best season ever in 2021, consistently finishing on or near the podium, winning races and proving that he is one of the most fit riders on the snow when healthy.

“Im super excited to be moving up to the Pro class with Cottew Motorsports. We had an awesome season last year and we plan on keeping the momentum going into next season.

It’s going to be a big challenge racing Pro but I don’t plan on just being another number in the class. I want to be battling towards the front of the pack and I think I have all the tools necessary to do that on my Cottew Motorsports Polaris.”

Aitkin, Minnesota-based Kern will join teammate Cole Cottew in the Pro class. Cottew continued his progression in the premier division in 2021, barely missing out on a podium appearance at the final round of the season. While the two riders have vastly different styles, their motivation to succeed at the highest level pushes one another on and off the track.

“We are super excited to see Travis move up to the pro class.  He is more than ready for it.  Getting more pro riders is good for the sport of Snocross.  We are pumped about the new Polaris sled.  The latest generation 600Rs were proven last season and will be even better this year.”
